I am considering upgrading my Garmin 530W and 430W to a Avidyne combo
BUT I do not see that it will play with the GTX 330ES with ADS B upgrade.
Is that correct ? Can it be done ? |

I understand that with the latest firmware (10.2.0) IFDs work just fine with 330ESs & 345s. Check out the first post in this thread:
Calling up the 1-800 tech support line will give you an official confirmation.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like it will play with the 330ES
Also, I have traffic on my 530w/430w/330ES now do I need anything other "boxes" to get the same traffic on the IFD540
|

Yes, legacy TIS traffic will show as well, at least for as long as TIS remains supported by the various TRACONS. (vice ADS TIS-B, a different animal)
