We use split mode sometimes to have mY wife talk to the FBO as we are arriving to check in on a rental car, parking, etc. oh yea, and make sure there is a red carpet available. Perhaps if AF1 had an AMX240 China would of had some stairs out for Obama.

I probably know the answer to this, but thought I'd ask anyway. When in split mode, is there a way for the co-pilot to hear the nav sources? The amx240 pilot guide doesn't specify. I'm thinking the main use of split mode would be to have the co-pilot check in with FSS, which is often a matter of receiving over a VOR.

Has there been any real world scenarios where split mode has worked well for someone?
