Bluetooth only for Keyboard?

   Hi All,
My new plane has an IFD550 and IFD440 with current software.

I have a garmin GDL50 portable ADSB device which connects to my iPAD via bluetooth.  It looks like the bluetooth function on the IFD is only for the keyboard?  Can someone confirm that for me?  The GDL50 uses bluetooth instead of WIFI like a Stratus.

I could not find a why on the IFD to search for an connect to a bluetooth device like the GDL50.

Finally, if my understanding is correct and bluetooth cannot be used to connect to a GDL50 for ADSB-in, has anyone heard a rumor if such functionality is in the works?
