Hello, I’m new to the group and thought I might start a new topic. I recently purchased the IFD 440 and DYNON HDX(I have Jeppesen full USA NAV DATA). I have lots of compatibility/crossfill questions but for now.

1. How do you get the VOR to show up on the HDX HSI? (I have tried setting the 440 to VLOC and tapping the gps selector button on the HDX but with no luck)

2. Will the IFD display show instrument approach step down altitudes? I checked on the Dynon forum and as of now, there is no way of displaying step down altitudes on the map display or the flight plan page of the HDX(bummer).

Thanks!

You should be able to see the IFD Nav source on the HSI by setting the IFD to VLOC and tapping the HSI source on the Dynon until it says IFD NAV.  You can also go in to MENU, PFD TOOLS and configure.  I made a sort of related video that may help you as it depicts switching nav sources on the HDX....

Thanks! I finally found in the PFD MENU that I needed to select an additional bearing pointer. I’m not looking at my unit but I believe that’s what did the trick. Thanks again
