Will the DFC90 ever be certified for a Mooney?

We don’t have any plans for certifying the DFC90 in the Mooney at the moment however, we are always evaluating projects, especially the DFC line.

I remember reading about or hearing something regarding Part 23 re-write (maybe?) that would allow an existing STC to cover other airplanes not specifically listed provided they had the exact same avionics and setup. For example, a Columbia with Avidyne which has (nearly) identical physical equipment as a Cirrus of the same era. Can Avidyne comment on that? Because there are a worthwhile chunk of Columbia/Cessna drivers that would jump on a DFC90 if given the opportunity.

I suspect the answer will include "it's not that simple..." but I thought I'd ask.
