I have just finished installing the IFD 550 in my Cessna 182RG, and have paired it with an iPad mini running the IFD 100 app. The photo shows the mini sitting in the yoke mount, while the IFD 440 seen below is not yet upgraded to 10.2, but that comes this week. My first reaction is: Wow! What a great set of operational tools. There are a number of potential combinations the 550 and 100, and as the photo shows, I have it currently set for Syn vision on the IFD along with a secondary display of the airport chart, while the 550 displays a map view and the 440 the FMS. A real atta-boy to the programmers and planners at Avidyne!  David

How do you get a split screen on the IFD100 app? Is that intrinsic to the 550? or the iPad Pro? David ------------- David Gates |

It's an option in the IFD100 app once you are in SVS mode and in vertical orientation. ------------- David E. Cessna 182 RG II |

Is that also applicable to the 540? How is that mode turned on?
