The 540 10.2 PG says for devices with multiple traffic sources attached, e.g. active traffic, ADS-B TIS-R, etc. that the priority is:
The current display priority is TAS6XX/TCAD, Skywatch, Other ARINC429 Traffic sensor, MLB100.

However, I am being told by others that this was changed to make TIS-R the top of the list.  I am about to have a shop reconfigure my RS-232s to match up with my sources and dual 540s.

I'd like to put ADS-B traffic on one IFD and TAS traffic on the other.  How the RS232 gets configured to achieve that depends on what the priority actually is.  I'd like to have this clarified before I go into the shop for configuration.

Anybody know for sure?

David,

Per our conversations I have noticed that since Skytrax has replaced MLB, the Display Priority now is:
  . Skytrax100 > Ryan TCAD (TAS).

So to display Ryan TCAD, the Skytrax (traffic, at least) must be off on the unit where you want Ryan TCAD TAS displayed...

I am also confirming with Simposn in private message the ability to have separate traffic on each of our Dual IFD540's, even in Cross-Synched mode.

Tom:

From the Avidyne tech support knowledge base:

NOTE Dissimilar Weather & Traffic Source Data Not Shared Dissimilar weather data sources (e.g. GDL-69 data on one IFD and MLB100 data on the other IFD) will not be shared between IFDs. Each IFD will display its own weather data in this case.
