I have a question about the trainer software.

I set the origin to KSET and the destination to KSUS, activated the flight plan, and selected the ILS 29L approach with vectors.

The plane intercepted the final approach, with GPS->VLOC visible in the upper right corner. Then, as it passed the FAF fix the upper right corner changed to GPS and the course line from the FAF to the runway changed to solid magenta.

Is this correct? Shouldn’t it have changed to VLOC with a green course line? The GPS->VLOC Capture setting is set to Auto.

The simulator doesn't generate VOR or localizer signals, so it is only ever following the GPS track.

And, after reading the manual this morning (go figure!), I found that you have to manually change to VLOC mode if the localizer hasn't been auto-IDd (which in this case it wasn't).
