Will IFD540 fly an approach with expired charts database? We tried to fly RNAV & ILS approach a few days ago, it did not fly. I realized IFR charts were expired long time ago. I am trying to trouble shoot, if it was expired charts or I need to have someone take a look at the avionics.

I have KAP150 AP.

The 540 will fly approaches based on current NAV data even when the installed CHARTS are not current.

I have not updated the charts on my 540 in years (stopped that subscription a looong time ago). I do keep the nav and obstacle data up to date. Never had any trouble flying approaches.
