We have a 2006 Cirrus SR22 with the EX5000 PFD & MFD. We also have L3 Skywatch Traffic and stormscope traffic. for ADS-B we have Avidyne AXP 322 out and FreeFlight Ranger for ADS-B in. We have a IFD550 and IFD400. We cancelled XM weather/music when we got Starlink Internet. My question is, can we get ADS-B weather on the MFD? We have also noticed more often than not, our Traffic is failing on the MFD. It comes and goes frequently but lately seems to fail more than work. We still have traffic on the IFD550. We do use the tablet for other internet based weather services. It would just be nice to have the weather on the larger MFD as well. Looking for thoughts and suggestions on the weather angle as well as why traffic is frequently failing on the MFD.

You can upgrade the MFD to rev 8.2 and have some re-wiring done to accomplish this, but I belive Avidyne charges around $4k for the software upgrade. I briefly considered this, but decided it wasn't worth spending that much money on a legacy piece of hardware. Really bummed this wasn't a free software upgrade, to hold us over until Vantage has some time to shake out in the real world for a couple of years.
